University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture

Operating as a statewide campus of the University of Arkansas System, the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture comprises the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station and the Cooperative Extension Service. Arkansas Department of Agriculture

Dedicated to the development, protection, and promotion of Arkansas’s largest industry, the Arkansas Department of Agriculture is the primary state agency overseeing the management of the state’s natural resources and rural economic sectors. The agency coordinates multifaceted regulatory functions, livestock and plant health inspections, forestry and wildfire management, and agricultural marketing initiatives to support 37,400 farms spanning 13.7 million acres. By advancing an industry that contributes over $24.3 billion annually to the state economy and ranks in the top 25 nationally for 16 commodities, the department empowers local producers while ensuring a safe, sustainable supply of food, fiber, and forest products globally.

UA Pine Bluff Small Farms Program

Administered by the 1890 Cooperative Extension Program at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), the UAPB Small Farm Program provides comprehensive technical assistance and research-based outreach to small-scale, limited-resource, veteran, and historically underserved agricultural producers across Arkansas. Through a holistic approach encompassing farm business training, conservation assistance, beginning farmer development, and sustainable forestry initiatives, the program equips producers with the financial literacy, risk management tools, and technical skills necessary to access USDA funding, navigate agricultural markets, and maintain viable, long-term farm operations.

Farm Stress Management & Resilience Project

The Farm Stress Management & Resilience Project provides educational opportunities that support rural communities and those working in agriculture. The purpose of these offerings is to surround farmers, ranchers, and other agriculture workers with community members who recognize the unique stressors and challenges of working in agriculture. By building understanding, competency, and knowledge of available resources, we strengthen families, communities, and the state of Arkansas.

Southern Risk Management Education Center

The Southern Risk Management Education Center (SRMEC) was established at the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture in 2009. Funded by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), the SRMEC is one of four regional Extension Risk Management Education Centers located throughout the country. Our mission is to educate farmers and ranchers to manage the unique risks of producing food for the world’s table.

National Agricultural Law Center

The National Agricultural Law Center, a unit of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, serves as the nation’s leading source of objective, scholarly, and authoritative agricultural and food law research and information, serving public and private sector stakeholders – producers, federal and state lawmakers, policymakers, land grant university faculty and academics, attorneys, and others — throughout the United States. It is the only agricultural and food law research and information facility that is independent, national in scope, and directly connected to the national agricultural information network.

Tailgate Time

Tailgate Time started with a simple idea — sometimes the best conversations happen at the tailgate. We’re a nonprofit built for farmers, ag workers, and folks in hard-working industries where “I’m fine” is easier to say than “I’m struggling.” Through honest talks, access to help, and community connection, we’re bringing mental health out into the open — one tailgate at a time.

AR ConnectNow

At UAMS Health AR ConnectNow, our mission is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of Arkansans. We do this through the AR ConnectNow Virtual Clinic which offers confidential, convenient virtual mental health treatment for all Arkansans, and the AR ConnectNow Website which provides trusted mental health education, support in finding high-quality mental health care, and practical tools to promote positive mental health.

Arkansas Farm Credit

Part of the customer-owned Farm Credit System, Farm Credit Midsouth is a agricultural lending cooperative dedicated to serving the financial needs of farmers, ranchers, and rural landowners across eastern Arkansas and Missouri. The organization provides wide-ranging financial services, including agricultural real estate loans, operating lines of credit, farm equipment financing, agribusiness capital, and crop insurance products designed to support long-term economic stability and agricultural growth across the Delta region.

Arkansas Farm Bureau

Formed in 1935, Arkansas Farm Bureau represents more than 160,000 member families around our state. We are a grassroots organization that advocates for and promotes agriculture throughout Arkansas, the region and the country. We connect consumers with the farmers and ranchers who work hard every day to provide the world with food, fiber, and shelter. We speak out on the issues that matter to farmers, ranchers and rural communities in the halls of government, and we share the latest news, facts and stories about agriculture in Arkansas.

Arkansas Farm Bureau Rural Health Program

Administered as a key outreach effort by the Arkansas Farm Bureau, the Rural Health Initiative focuses on addressing the unique physical and behavioral health challenges facing farmers, ranchers, and rural communities across Arkansas. The program delivers wide-ranging educational campaigns, promotes health and wellness awareness, advocates for improved healthcare infrastructure in underserved areas, and connects agricultural producers to vital mental health resources and support networks to foster resilient rural families and communities.
