University of the Virgin Islands
Founded in 1962, the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is a public, land-grant Historically Black College and University (HBCU) with campuses on St. Thomas and St. Croix. Offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs across six schools and colleges, UVI combines small class sizes and research opportunities to deliver an affordable, student-centered education tailored to the U.S. Virgin Islands and the wider Caribbean region.
USVI Agriculture Business Center
The Virgin Islands Agriculture Business Center (VI AgBC) – hosted by the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) and the Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and aligned with the 2021 Territorial Agricultural Plan – advances the sustainability and growth of the USVI’s agriculture and fisheries sectors. Through free business support, training, technical assistance, and grant guidance, VI AgBC empowers local producers to build competitive, environmentally responsible enterprises that drive economic diversification, food security, and long-term territorial resilience.
USVI Small Business Development Center
The US Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center (VI SBDC) is a nationally accredited program and the premier resource for entrepreneurs and small businesses across St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John. Hosted by the University of the Virgin Islands making it one of only two lead SBDC centers in the US hosted by an HBCU, the center provides free one-on-one confidential business advising, training, and access to capital resources to foster economic growth, resilience, and success through the US Virgin Islands.
